INGINEUS addresses research issues that are "problem-oriented" and "policy relevant".
A main concern of the INGINEUS research is in fact to analyse the policy-related institutional aspects that affect the features and development of Global Innovation Networks (GINs) between Europe and latecomer economies. The objective is to derive specific innovation policy options for the EU, its member states, and for latecomer countries, in order to contribute to the Lisbon strategy.
Building on the results of the research carried out, a series of Policy Briefs is issued as part of the activities of WP10 on "Global Innovation Networks (GINs) and innovation policy". The INGINEUS Policy Briefs alert the audience on the project's intermediary results and on the new knowledge produced to advance the state-of-the-art. They provide evidence-based information and pose (new and) thought-provoking policy questions to policy-making.
The INGINEUS Policy Briefs are published also in the web site of the European Commission dedicated to the programme Social Sciences and the Humanities.
