Prospective implications of offshored knowledge based activities: outlook for industries in the EU and emerging economies


WP9 concentrates on industry determinants to understand the consequences that offshoring of innovation activities have on industry composition and on the business and innovation systems that these industries are part of and, further, to understand the effects at the level of EU and emerging economies. Its objectives are:

  • To assess the potential implications of offshored knowledge based activities on selected industries: automotive, ICT and agro-processing
  • To provide sectoral policy input to the project
